JTS Special Issue - Henry Kissinger & Transatlantic Relations

The JTS is pleased to announce the imminent publication of a special issue on Henry Kissinger and his transatlantic diplomacy. The contributions by eminent Kissinger scholars embrace the broad panoply of his work regarding Europe and are essential reading for anyone interested in US foreign policy in the 1960s and 70s, transatlantic relations, and the career of Kissinger.

IHR Research Grant

The International History Review - Routledge, Taylor & Francis Research Award

Eligibility: persons of any nationality who have a PhD or equivalent publishing record and who wish to engage in research into any aspect of international history.

Submissions: to ihreviewprize@gmail.com between 1 January and 1 March annually.

  1. Award: in May annually up to £1500 for expenditure on essential travel and subsistence to visit archives, conduct interviews, or other fieldwork. The result of the award will be published on-line by Routledge, Taylor & Francis as well as the research output. Failure to submit an article to the IHR within the deadline will be noted publicly.

Criteria: judges will assess which application is likely to produce the highest quality article for submission to the IHR by applying standard article peer review criteria.

Output: Minimum required output is an article which must be submitted to the IHR for consideration for publication within 18 months of the receipt of the award.

Report: required within 12 months of the receipt of the award of approximately 300 words in length on the conduct of the research and likely total outputs associated with the award. The report will be published on-line by Routledge, Taylor & Francis.

TSA-CUP Book Prize

The TSA-Cambridge University Press book prize for 2016 titles was awarded to Dr Dino Knudsen for his book, The Trilateral Commission and Global Governance: Informal Elite Diplomacy, 1972-82 (Rutledge, 2016). Presentation of the prize took place at the close of the 17th Annual TSA Conference, Dahlonega, Georgia.
